Batch Review — prestub-persons
Source: N/A (meta-prep batch; figures gathered from CONTEXT.md, existing /persons/, DP Part 1 + Part 2 chapter titles under resources/DP/, the handoff document /tmp/handoff-prestub-glossary.md § persons list, and standard DP/UC providential-history coverage).
Scope: 22 person stubs. No atomics. No new tags.
Variant: foundation-pass (ADR-0021)
Phase: Foundation Pass — Phase 1 (pre-stub persons). Closes Phase 1; Phase 2 (DP chapter atomization) is next.
Purpose
Scaffold the canonical UC + biblical-providence cast as one-paragraph person stubs so every subsequent foundation-pass chapter session can wikilink [[jesus]], [[adam]], [[moses]], etc. without per-session “does this person file exist?” guessing. Summaries are intentionally short and shape-neutral — they place the figure historically, state their providential role in DP, and stay out of interpretive controversy that downstream atomics will own.

Person stubs link to each other via plain-text references in summaries; this avoids the symmetric-closure cascade that the glossary batch hit on first commit attempt (whererelated:entries count as wikilinks and force matching## Referenced bybacklinks). - Two Josephs, disambiguated by filename slug —
joseph-son-of-jacobandjoseph-husband-of-mary. Both display titles are parenthesised; wikilinks must use the full slug. - Jesus’s
aliases:includes “the Second Adam” but the second-Adam slug is not its own page (would invite confusion with adam). If you’d like a separate “second-adam” disambiguation page, flag it now. - Mary’s role as restorative-Eve is summarised non-controversially; downstream atomics will own the more contested DP claims about Mary’s failure to fully cooperate (Cana, Mark 3:31-35).
- John the Baptist’s failure is summarised compactly in the stub. This is one of DP’s most distinctive christology claims and will get a dedicated cluster of atomics during DP Part 1 Ch 4 (the Messiah). Stub body kept brief on purpose.
Persons considered but DEFERRED
The following biblical/UC figures were considered for this batch but not stubbed. They can be added in a follow-up prestub-persons-followup batch if downstream atomization reveals they’re being wikilinked regularly:
- Sarah, Rebekah, Leah, Rachel — patriarchal wives. Secondary in DP’s providence-of-restoration narrative; can be added when atomized chapters cite them.
- Joshua — completed the entry to Canaan but not himself a foundation-of-faith pivot per DP.
- Zechariah, Elizabeth — parents of John the Baptist; cited but not load-bearing.
- Judah, Perez, Boaz, Ruth — Messianic-lineage figures; lineage-only mentions.
- Judas Iscariot — DP discusses him; flag for follow-up.
- Mary Magdalene, Lazarus, Martha — NT supporting cast; flag for follow-up.
- John the Apostle — apostolic; flag for follow-up.
- Augustine, Aquinas, Luther, Calvin — secondary-literature comparative figures; better added if/when atomized chapters cite them directly.
- Buddha, Confucius, Muhammad, Lao Tzu, Krishna — comparative-religion figures. Likely needed during WS atomization (Phase 4) but not during DP. Defer to a
prestub-persons-comparativebatch when WS starts. - Hyo Jin Moon, Kook Jin Moon, In Jin Moon — Moon family members; defer until atomization actually cites them.
- Hendricks, Stark, Kwak, Hatch — UC and sociology-of-religion authors. They appear in existing BR/CSG-01 atomics as inline
(Hendricks 2010)-style citations rather than[[hendricks]]wikilinks. If downstream batches want them as Person notes (for cross-referencing their works), add aprestub-persons-authorsbatch then.

None. Person stubs carry no tags (none of the existing person files do either).
Korean transliteration — confidence flags
For most stubs I included a Korean alias. Confidence is high for biblical names (these are standard Korean Christian transliterations) and Korean names (Hak Ja Han). I’ve intentionally not added Korean for the two Josephs’ disambiguators beyond the bare name. If anything reads off, flag inline.

Meta-prep batch; no atomics → no thread/question/web-search candidates. The three _meta/parking/*.md files receive no entries on this finalize.
How to review
- Open
/staging/prestub-persons/persons/in Obsidian or VS Code. - Scan summaries for accuracy and tone — these are one-paragraph anchors every downstream session will see.
- Edit aliases / role / summary inline where needed.
- For any figure that shouldn’t exist as a stub, delete the file and note it under “deleted” here.
- For any figure missing that you want pre-stubbed now (rather than in a follow-up), add it.
- Say “approved” → finalize moves files to
/persons/, archives this REVIEW to_meta/batch-reviews/prestub-persons.md, deletes the now-empty/staging/prestub-persons/, and creates a single commit.
