SMM ties the timing to a 40-year indemnity arc: “In 1952, we lost the original worldwide Blessing era … Forty years later, in 1992, we were finally able to enter the worldwide Blessing era, and so the 30,000 Couples Blessing was held. The cross-cultural reach was the proof point: “I brought together 30,000 young men and 30,000 women from 131 nations, matched them using their photographs, and married them” (ibid, 243-247, 1993.1.17).
