Elaboration. SMM interprets adolescent bodily change as movement from a straight path into circular motion around a partner (CSG 4.6 §5, Blessed Family 366). Straight motion alone exhausts and destroys harmony; circular motion preserves the environment. Because no one can revolve alone, the person must “revolve around your partner as the center.” He applies this even to cosmetics and heightened beauty: they are not for the self but “for the sake of others.” When young hearts leap, the mind must remain centered on God so love can rise to the place where God-centered mind and heart become one. Adolescence is therefore a providential pivot from self-enclosed development toward reciprocal love.
