Claim. The Blessing ceremony — with its holy wine, three-day ceremony, and indemnity stick — is the substantive engrafting through which God’s lineage replaces Satan’s lineage; the Eucharist is its symbolic anticipation.
Elaboration. SMM frames the Blessing as the operational lineage-transfer mechanism: “The Blessing is engrafting; your lineage is changed through engrafting” (6.2. Restoration of lineage is the core of the ideology centered on the returning Lord, 35-178, 1970.10.13). The ceremony’s elements are physical, not merely figurative: “When you receive the Blessing in the Unification Church, there are ceremonies for the change of lineage… The indemnity stick, the three-day ceremony… How complex they are! Satan cannot intervene in these ceremonies” (ibid, 235-215, 1992.9.20). The holy wine itself requires “twenty-one processes of sanctification” with “elements that bear fruit in the air, on the earth, and underground” (ibid, 215-109, 1991.2.6). The Eucharist is positioned as the precursor: “The value of the Jesus’ precious blood and the ceremony of the Eucharist are symbolic and figurative expressions of the dispensation aiming to make people God’s children through the change of lineage” (ibid, 135-12, 1985.8.20). Substantive lineage replaces symbolic memorial.
