Claim. Where Abraham founded the first Israel through sacrificial offerings, the Unification Church founds the Third Israel through the Blessing — the substantial achievement Jesus was struck before completing.
Elaboration. SMM frames the historical successions: “Abraham established Israel through the offering of sacrifices, but the Unification Church is creating Israel through the Blessing. Therefore, entering the third Israel is possible only through the Blessing” (1.3. The Blessing is the key for entering the Third Israel, 158-258, 1967.12.29). The diagnosis of Christianity is sharp but not dismissive: “Christianity failed to stand in the position of both physical and spiritual perfection. … it achieved the realm of the second Israel spiritually but not physically. As a consequence, we must additionally achieve the substantial standard. The day on which we achieve this is the day of the Second Coming” (ibid, 16-223, 1966.6.19). The Third Israel is therefore the physical completion of what the second Israel only achieved spiritually — and it begins, structurally, from a single individual on earth and expands through Blessed Families.
