Claim. Conjugal love is eternal — established once between absolute partners and persisting into the spirit world — because there is only one absolute love, and through it the four-position foundation revolves around God.
Elaboration. §3.3.2 sets conjugal love against any conception of marriage as a temporary or provisional arrangement: “Love is eternal. There cannot be two loves that are eternal but only one. When man and woman are bound together through love, they should live together in happy union while on earth until parted by death. Even after death they should live together eternally. Although there are two bodies, they attain oneness by reuniting” (3.3. Why marriage is important, Blessing -344). The relation to the four-position-foundation follows: “When the two bodies unite, they are to revolve around God, thereby establishing the four-position foundation of love; that is the ideal world. False love cannot invade this world, and only true love will dwell there” (ibid). The implication is that the blessed couple, not the individual believer, is the architectural unit of the spirit-world; resurrection is conceived as continued conjugality, not as the absorption of the individual into pure divinity.
