Claim. Until Chil Pal Jeol (August 9, 1997), there had never been a Sabbath day for God; this declaration installed the ideal family as God’s house of the Sabbath and proclaimed cosmic-level kingship of the Parents of Heaven and Earth.
Elaboration. “In all the historical ages up to the present time there has never been a Sabbath day for God. It is dumbfounding” (2.4. Declaration of the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of, 286-112, 1997.8.9). The reason was the Fall: “Everything was lost through the Fall of Adam and Eve. God wanted them to become the ancestors of humanity, representing God’s lineage as His ideal object partners. The ideal family is God’s house of the Sabbath.” The new dwelling form is family-rooted: “Centering on the family you need to form a tribe, and on that basis become tribal messiahs” (ibid, 286-114, 1997.8.9). The 7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7 timing (7:07:07 a.m. on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month in 1997, SMM’s 77th year) provided the numerical signature. The implication: the providence’s structural product is rest-for-God — He cannot have a Sabbath until human beings provide Him a perfected family dwelling, and Chil Pal Jeol is the first such moment in history.
