Claim. Because the Fall transferred humanity’s seed of life and love to a “wild olive tree” rooted in Satan, salvation requires engrafting to the true olive tree of God’s love through the True Parents.
Elaboration. SMM uses the Pauline olive-tree image to frame lineage transfer: “Due to the Fall, people inherited false love and the seed of false life and thus became wild olive trees. They must, therefore, be engrafted to the true olive tree and true love in order to inherit life based on true love. Otherwise they cannot belong to the True Parents’ lineage” (CSG 15.3 §1, 238-73, 1992.11.19). The engrafting metaphor is concrete, not decorative: “Although we sprang from a different root, we must be cut off from that root, at the very base of the trunk, and a new bud attached or engrafted in. That must be centered on True Parents. Then, on the conditional basis of having become the sons and daughters of the True Parents, God can be liberated” (166-306, 1987.6.14). Salvation is therefore botanical-genealogical: a literal change of root, not merely a change of belief.
