Claim. The family is the training ground of heart that prepares people to love in school, society, and nation.

Elaboration. SMM says even a president cannot live without a place to express “heartfelt joy”; this primal joy must be felt in one’s family (CSG 4.3 §6, 25-85, 1969.9.30). He then maps development: the family trains emotion, school trains social life, and the nation forms the third-stage fruit (180-130, 1988.8.22). Family education is therefore not private sentiment. Parents must “pass everything in the realm of heart on to their children” so that children can live affectionately like brothers and sisters in school and nation. A good family is not defined by wealth or environment, but by a foundation of heart where parents and children live for each other’s sake.
