Claim. The Kingdom of Heaven begins in the family because the Kingdom is a three-dimensional expansion of family love.
Elaboration. SMM asks where life in the Kingdom begins and answers: “It is the family. It does not unfold somewhere else” (CSG 4.3 §5, 30-82, 1970.3.17). The Kingdom is “a three-dimensional expansion of the family,” not a realm beyond family love. Parents, spouses, and children concentrate the loves of past, present, and future: loving parents connects history to the present, loving a spouse connects humanity’s male-female relation, and loving children connects present to future. The section’s implication is practical: embracing one’s spouse is a condition for loving humanity, and the family’s loves are the concrete media through which the heavenly kingdom is entered.
