Claim. Restoration aims to recover Adam’s family because the original failure occurred at the family level.

Elaboration. SMM says that God’s original purpose centered on Adam’s family, and therefore “the goal of restoration is Adam’s family” (CSG 4.10 §4, 28-11, 1970.1.1). The Fall did not merely wound individuals; it blocked the first family from becoming the starting point of God’s lineage and love. For that reason, salvation must also be family-level. The implication is that individual perfection, church membership, or moral effort cannot by themselves complete the providential aim; the root family pattern must be restored.
