Claim. The three primary values of earthly striving — money, knowledge, and power — are worthless in the spirit-world; only love confers standing, and love includes the other three.
Elaboration. SMM puts it bluntly: “In the spirit world, you do not need money. You do not need knowledge. That is how it was when I went there. You do not need power” (1.6. Love is the origin of authority in the spirit world, 196-311, 1990.1.12). The reason is structural — God controls the supply of everything material and informational: “Knowledge, money, and power are just some of the values people pursue during their lifetime … God regards those values as nothing. They are all worthless in the spirit world” (ibid, 203-291, 1990.6.27). Love overrides them by inclusion: “Love includes money, knowledge, and power. The power of love is an everlasting power. A person who understands genuine love will have nothing more to learn in heaven” (ibid, 202-86, 1990.5.6). Even authority is recast — it is not coercive but harmonic: “The spirit world is a harmonizing power based on love” (ibid, 230-28, 1992.4.15). The implication for earthly life is sharp: hoarding the three earthly currencies is preparation for impotence, not glory.
