Claim. The Three-Day Ceremony performed forty days after the Blessing condenses Old Testament, New Testament, and Completed Testament restoration into three nights of love-acts, with the wife acting as mother who re-births her husband through three stages.
Elaboration. SMM gives both the providential map and the choreography: “On the first day of the three-day ceremony, the realm of the Old Testament Age and the position of fallen Adam are restored. On the second day, the position of Jesus in the New Testament Age is restored through indemnity. On the third day, the groom, representing Jesus, re-creates the bride” (2.4. Three stages in changing the lineage, God’s Will 552). The choreography reverses Fall-era positions: “the wife has to stand in the position of the mother. As the mother, she must give birth to her husband through love” (ibid, 90-134, 1976.10.21). The 40-day pre-period “indemnified the four thousand years of history. The actual married life begins today, the end of the three-day ceremony” (ibid, 11-161, 1961.6.24). The three-day ceremony therefore closes the lineage-change sequence and transforms the couple from indemnity-state to standing-married-couple.
