Claim. When mind and body unite in love, the person resonates with God’s love and is impelled outward to family, society, nation, and world.
Elaboration. SMM says the place where God, Adam, and Eve become one is where “their mind and body become one” (CSG 4.6 §8, 26-158, 1969.10.25). Mind and body have vertical and horizontal relations, and only love can forge their eternal ideal relationship. When God’s love finds a point of settlement in a person, God’s heart and the human heart swing together like a pendulum. The result is centrifugal: the force “demands that you love your family, your society, your nation, and the world.” This is not merely inner peace. Unified love makes every cell focus on one point and moves the person toward participation in what God desires.
