Claim. Pledge 4’s “universal family encompassing heaven and earth” cannot exclude the fallen Cain world — it must bring all of fallen humanity into one extended God-centered family.
Elaboration. SMM is explicit that the Pledge-4 family is inclusive, not sectarian: “When we pledge, ‘…to build the universal family encompassing heaven and earth, which is God’s ideal of creation…,’ it means that we should realize an extended family conforming to God’s will. As such, we cannot exclude the satanic world. Although we may have kingship and everything else, we do not have the kingship of Adam’s family; therefore, if we are to represent the kingship, untainted by the Fall, we must bring together everyone from the satanic world as an extended family” (4.2. The universal family encompassing heaven and earth, 267-151 1995.1.4). The mechanism is the elder/younger-brother restoration of the Cain world by Blessed families acting as elder brothers: “Now, the people of the Cain world are in the position of the younger brother, and you should teach them properly from the position of the elder brother and establish the tradition. Only then will the satanic side be restored to the realm of the royal family” (4.3. The world of freedom, peace, unity and happiness, 264-201 1994.10.9). The universal family is therefore a restoration-completing structure, not a separatist enclave.
