God’s creative act follows a single three-stage pattern: from God the Origin, the dual characteristics divide into two distinct substantial partners, which then unite as a new object partner to God — this Origin-Division-Union (ODU) action is the universal mechanism by which all creation proceeds.
Elaboration. Per 2.3.1. Origin-Division-Union Action: “The process of God’s creation begins when the dual characteristics within God form a common base through the prompting of His universal prime energy. As they engage in give and take action, they generate a force which engenders multiplication. This force projects the dual characteristics into discrete substantial object partners, each relating to God as its center. These object partners to God then assume the position of subject partner and object partner to each other… They then join together in one harmonious union to form a new object partner to God.”
The pattern is general: God → two distinct partners → reunion-as-new-whole. The paradigm case is God → Adam + Eve → their union as God’s family. The same pattern recurs at every scale: mind divides into emotion/intellect/will and reunites as personhood; positive/negative ions unite as molecules; husband and wife unite as family; cause divides into effects which reunite as a new cause.
ODU is the basis for DP’s later claim that all reality grows through three stages — formation, growth, completion (formation-growth-completion-stages) — because each ODU cycle is itself three-staged (origin, division, union). This makes the number three structurally necessary to creation, not arbitrary numerology, and is why DP reads biblical patterns-of-three as load-bearing rather than incidental.
