Claim. The key to life is finding God’s calling for you — not chasing money — and it is found by saying yes to something hard.
Elaboration. ‘Finding God’s hope for your life is the key,’ the pastor says, ‘not chasing money, but chasing what God’s potential is for you in your life’ (Transcript, 58:44–58:54). Her own calling — ‘to be a bridge to Holy Mother Han’ — came only after she accepted a hard pastoral role she feared she was unworthy of (ibid, 59:02–59:25). Driving Golf Road afterward, ‘it just hit me like, this is what I created you for … This is why I gave you JJ … This is why I sent you to GPA’ (ibid, 59:46–60:13).
Significance. Vocation is not discovered by self-protective planning but disclosed on the far side of a costly yes.
