Elaboration. Sang Hun Lee outlines Hegel’s architecture (Outline of Hegel’s Logic). Logic has three branches: Doctrine of Being (Quality, Quantity, Measure), Doctrine of Essence (Essence, Appearance, Actuality), and Doctrine of Notion (Subjective Notion, Objective Notion, Idea). Each subdivides into further triads — e.g., Quality contains Being, Determinate Being, Being-for-Itself; Being contains Being, Nothing, Becoming.
The starting triad is Being–Nothing–Becoming. After Becoming, thought moves to Determinate Being, then Being-for-self, then Quantity, then Measure — exhausting the Doctrine of Being. Essence → Appearance → Actuality completes the Doctrine of Essence. Subjective Notion → Objective Notion → Idea completes the Doctrine of Notion. Idea passes through Life, Cognition, and Absolute Idea — the final destination within logic.
Then the world of Idea negates itself to realize itself, becoming Nature — the self-alienation of Idea, Idea ‘in the form of otherness.’ Nature unfolds through Mechanics, Physics, Organics. Negating the negation, Idea recovers itself through the human being as Spirit. Spirit triads as Subjective Spirit, Objective Spirit, Absolute Spirit. Objective Spirit itself triads as Law, Morality, Ethics — with Ethics further triading as family, civil society, and the state (Hegel held the state to be where Idea is fully actualized).
Finally Absolute Spirit develops through Art, Religion, and Philosophy. At the philosophy stage, Idea fully regains itself — returning to the Absolute Idea (God). The development closes.
Lee will critique the returning and completing nature of this dialectic: it forces history to terminate (Hegel held Prussia would be the rational state — Prussia disappeared without becoming it, embarrassing the system). The architecture is presented sympathetically here because Lee borrows the ambition of grounding logic in pre-creation divine thought.
