Claim. The “Third Israel” is identified as the people who first connect earthly and heavenly worlds by completing the servant and adopted-son ages of absolute loyalty.

Elaboration. SMM links loyalty-completion to the providential succession: “In the age of the servant, you must fulfill absolute loyalty. In the age of the adopted child, you have to practice absolute loyalty in your life. If you do not go through these two stages, you cannot reach the standard to become one with God’s begotten children… The representative people who accomplished for the first time in history the task of connecting the earthly world with the heavenly world will become the Third Israel” (CSG 14.4 §2, 45-82, 1971.6.13). The First Israel (Jewish people) failed because they did not accept the Messiah; the Second Israel (Christianity) was spiritual only; the Third Israel is the post-True-Parents people who fulfill both physical and spiritual loyalty completely. The category is therefore not ethnic but vocational.
