Claim. God holds no concept of the enemy and does not pass judgment; the genuine judgment of personal sin is rendered by one’s own family, tribe, and ancestors who love the wrongdoer most.
Elaboration. SMM denies the standard divine-judgment frame: “The concept that God is the Lord of judgment does not exist in God … the concept of judgment by literal fire does not exist in God” (6.1. God has no concept of the enemy, 233-228, 1992.8.1). Judgment is instead familial and ancestor-mediated: “When you go to the spirit world, your ancestors would immediately judge you. God does not pass judgment. Your ancestors render judgment, and ultimately drag you before a public trial on the world level” (6.3. Personal sin will be judged by, 163-33, 1987.4.18). The prosecutor is intimacy: “Who is the prosecutor? The person who loves you most. When the husband does wrong, the wife will accuse him” (ibid, 198-367, 1990.2.11). This relocates judgment from external divine fiat to the relational consequences of broken love. The doctrinal payoff is that heaven and hell are not arbitrary destinations but the natural fruit of how one related to those closest, judged by those closest.
