Claim. The Completed Testament Age is not the next stage of the providence of restoration but the era in which God’s original purpose-of-creation — fulfilled through True Parents — finally becomes substantial on earth.

Elaboration. SMM distinguishes the Completed Testament Age from earlier restoration ages: “What promise is to be fulfilled in the Completed Testament Age? It is the fulfillment of the promise God made with humankind at the time of creation. It does not mean that the age of the providence of restoration or the age of the providence of salvation is fulfilled. It means the fulfillment of God’s ideal of creation” (1.2. The Settlement of the Completed Testament Age and the beginning of the family age, 248-188 1993.9.30). He grounds this in the true-parents axis: “This is why God first conceived of the idea of True Parents before he thought of humankind. The appearance of the True Parents is the ideal of creation” (ibid). The age is “the unified realm of God and humankind … where God and humankind have equal value through the complete unification of God and humankind based on true love” (252-154 1993.12.29). The era’s content is therefore creation-ideal substantiated, not restoration-residue cleared.
