Claim. Linguistic plurality is a Fall-consequence the completed-testament-age must reverse; because the term True Parents originates in Korean, Korean is the original-tongue believers must eventually learn.
Elaboration. “American pigs grunt in the same way as Korean pigs … Considering this, why are we human beings, the lords of all creation, in this state? Everywhere you go they speak a different language … In a word, our current situation resulted from the Fall” (2.3. One language, 20-124, 1968.5.1). The Korean argument is theological: “the term True Parents was first coined in Korean … For the first time in history, God’s love and True Parents’ love could be engrafted based on True Parents’ love. At the beginning of the time when God could speak about love, He could only communicate in Korean on the foundation of the love centered on True Parents” (ibid, 135-166, 1985.11.12). The future-tense expectation: “you will need to study the original language … If the Korean original text says another, the English text must be revised to conform to it” (74-33, 1974.11.10). The implication: Korean-as-original-tongue is not nationalism but providence-language; it is the linguistic Eden the eschaton restores.
