Claim. The original hometown is the place where complete family love ties the heart in all directions.
Elaboration. SMM says people long for hometown because it is where mother, father, siblings, spouse, children, and relatives bind the heart “in four directions and three dimensions” (CSG 4.3 §7, 23-151, 1969.5.18). God’s original hometown on earth must therefore be where a son who knows God as real Father, a corresponding daughter, and their complete family dwell. A second passage defines the place by inexhaustible love: those missed persons must be ones with whom one can live for eternity without tiring (23-80, 1969.5.11). The Kingdom of Heaven sought by religion is not placeless bliss; it is original hometown recovered as family communion.
