Elaboration. The natural image carries an ethics: “The larger fish in the Pantanal swallow the smaller ones. The small fish have excrements, urine, internal organs and filth, but the larger fish just swallows that altogether” (2.2. The ocean providence centering on South America, 295-220, 1998.8.28). SMM generalizes this into a love doctrine: “Don’t fallen people discard the bad and eat only the good things? Love is not that way. Love takes in and digests even hell” (295-186, 1998.8.28). The political application is unification: “Those people who do not know how to swallow things as a whole cannot unify the world.” The teaching reframes providence itself: “Pantanal means, ‘selling yourself completely.’ … Wasn’t God’s will also to swallow both the satanic world and the world of goodness?” (296-305, 1998.11.18). Love is not selective digestion.
