Claim. A true family inherits past, present, and future through grandparents, parents, and children united in true love.

Elaboration. SMM says grandparents represent “the living history of the past,” parents represent the present, and children symbolize the future (CSG 4.3 §4, 162-140, 1987.4.5). Loving grandparents means inheriting the past; loving parents means learning the present; loving children means inheriting the future. All these centers are “founded on true love.” The section then widens the claim: those who love true grandparents, true parents, true children, true family, true nation, and true universe go to the Kingdom of Heaven. The family is the model and textbook for that larger movement. The theological work of family love is temporal as well as relational: it binds human history into one lineage of love.
