Elaboration. SMM frames the radical scope as a structural necessity: “Stalin and Hitler killed millions of people. I even forgave and blessed such demons of all demons. Unless I could do so, I would not be able to open the gates of hell” (3.1. True Parents and the blessing of saints and murderers, 299-26, 1999.2.1). Religious founders are similarly included: “I have liberated the saints and murderers in accordance with principles … Even Buddha and Mohammed are friends [in the spirit world]. Famous saints from Christianity and high monks from Buddhism are all friends” (ibid, 300-305, 1999.4.11). Conditional cooperation makes this possible: blessed saints in the middle realm “beseeched me … ‘It is what you desire. Hence, our wish is simple. We would like you to bless us’” (ibid, 299-26). The doctrinal stake is universalist: hell cannot be liberated until the worst occupants are reincorporated, so the blessing’s scope must in principle reach everyone.
