Claim. Because God has dual characteristics, every level of the created universe — mineral, plant, animal, human — is structured as paired subject-object partners, manifesting and giving-and-taking on the model of the Creator.

Elaboration. §1.2 generalizes the dual-characteristics doctrine into a cosmological principle: “The created world resembles God’s characteristics. We understand that all created things exist as the divided forms of the dual characteristics, and that they are connected to their counterparts in the relationship of subject partner and object partner as well as the reciprocal relationships of up and down, front and rear, and left and right” (1.2. The universe was created in the image of dual characteristics, 106-57, 1979.12.9). SMM enumerates the chain: molecules with positive and negative ions, plants with stamen and pistil, animals as male and female, humans as man and woman (ibid, 247-183, 1993.5.9). Because the resemblance is structural and goes all the way down, give-and-take is the universal physics of existence: “Energy cannot be generated without interaction between subject partner and object partner. Energy cannot generate itself” (ibid, 21-344, 1969.1.1).
