Claim. Congregational singing edifies other believers, so ordinary and weak voices still matter.
Elaboration. The video answers the shy singer by appealing both to command and mutual edification. God commands His people to sing, so a poor voice is not an exemption from obedience (15:24-16:02, Transcript). More importantly, the gathered church sings “to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs”; the singer’s voice is “meant to encourage me,” not only to go upward to God (16:17-17:21). There are weeks when one believer needs another’s faith, and visible singing in suffering can encourage the whole room (17:34-18:18).
Implication. Corporate worship-form is not a private devotional soundscape; the congregation is part of the ministry.
