Claim. Cooperation from the spirit world is involved in the education leading to genius; on the basis of a God-centered family with balanced education, many good spirits provide spiritual assistance so children’s God-given talents can develop rapidly.
Elaboration. In the closing paragraph of his discussion of the genius, Lee makes a striking claim that extends his pedagogy into the spiritual realm (A Genius): “Moreover, we should realize that cooperation from the spirit-world is also involved in the education leading to one’s becoming a genius. When a well-balanced education is provided, on the basis of a God-centered family, many good spirits can provide spiritual assistance and, as a result, children’s God-given talents can develop rapidly.”
This is a substantial expansion of the educational picture. Education is not only what happens between parents, teachers, and children in this world; it includes operative spiritual-world influences that accelerate or retard development. The condition for spirit-world cooperation is specifically the God-centered family with balanced (heart + norm + dominion) education. This sets up an asymmetry: secular or fallen-family environments do not receive the same spiritual assistance, which compounds with the lack of heart-and-norm education to explain why “only one person out of tens of thousands” reaches genius level in fallen society.
The claim coheres with broader Unification cosmology in which the spirit-world is continuously interactive with earthly life — good spirits assist providential work, fallen spirits afflict, and the cosmos is the unity of physical and spirit world. It also coheres with Lee’s earlier claim that the good citizen on earth becomes a good spirit person in the spirit world and is properly called a citizen of the cosmos.
For an outside reader, this is one of the most metaphysically distinctive claims of Unification pedagogy. Secular educational theory has no equivalent; even mainline Christian education rarely invokes operative spiritual assistance in talent development. The claim is empirically untestable but generates a specific prediction: God-centered families practicing balanced education should show disproportionate flowering of children’s God-given talents. Critics will engage on whether the claim does pedagogical work or simply spiritualizes ordinary advantages (loving home, good schools, stable environment). Worth a thread on the relationship to ancestor cooperation in Cheong Pyeong practice.
