Claim. Because the spirit-world cannot initiate the blessing, the lineage-change ceremony must be completed on earth first — the entire spirit world is then equalized through descendants’ earthly Blessing work.
Elaboration. SMM presents the order as fixed by principle: “The Kingdom of Heaven is empty. In order to occupy it, the Blessing must first be given on earth. Without the Blessing on earth, there cannot be Blessings in the spirit world” (4.1. Heung-jin nim and the establishment of the right of the eldest son in the spirit world, 304-306, 1999.11.12). The reason is lineage-structural: “The Blessing means inheriting the foundation that connects God’s lineage of true life. The people who have inherited God’s lineage through the Blessing exist both in the spirit world and the physical world” (3.2. Equalization of the spiritual and physical worlds through the cosmic expansion of the true Blessing, 300-303, 1999.4.11). Because earth alone is the production center of people (ch1 §3.2), it is also alone the lineage-transformation center. The corollary is descendant-mediated retroactive Blessing: ancestors receive the blessing only through faithful earthly descendants’ Blessing ceremonies.
