Elaboration. Per Part 2 Ch 5 §7.2.6–7: economic history under monarchic-feudal arrangements developed into capitalism in the 17th century, expanding into imperialism with colonial enterprises. Imperialism’s providential purpose was a worldwide economic-political-religious foundation — Western European colonial scrambling enabled the world to progress into Western Christian civilization.
After WWI, the democratic spirit undermined colonialism; after WWII, great powers divested colonies. Capitalism began evolving into an economy fostering equal and common prosperity — God’s socialism.
