Claim. Democracy was born providentially to dismantle satanic monarchic monopolies of power and to establish a political system in which the people themselves can receive and support the returning Messiah as the King of Kings by their own will, completing the providential purpose monarchic society failed to deliver during the Christian Empire.

Elaboration. Per Part 2 Ch 5 §7.2.6: monarchic society’s purpose was a kingdom able to support the Messiah’s reign. When this dispensation failed during the Christian Empire (per dp-saul-david-solomon-parallel-to-charlemagne-and-carolingian-line-in-monarchic-stage), God began a process to tear down monarchies and raise up democracies — a new providence to rebuild a sovereign nation fit to receive the Messiah.

Democracy is government of, by, and for the people. Its purpose: (a) destroy the political monopoly of monarchy, which had deviated from God’s Will, and (b) establish a system capable of receiving and supporting the Messiah as King of Kings by the will of the people.

Mechanism: with history’s flow, the merit of the age enlightens human spirituality. Original minds respond to the providence and seek religion, often without conscious motivation. People eventually receive Christianity, which God is raising as the highest religion; the world converges to a single Christian-ideal civilization. As consummation nears, the popular will inclines toward Christian values; democratic governments, abiding by that will, become more Christian. When the Messiah returns to Christian-matured democracies, he establishes God’s sovereignty with wholehearted popular support — the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.

The 17th–18th-century democratic movements against absolute monarchies produced the English, American, and French Revolutions — destroying monarchic societies and birthing today’s democracies. The two forms of democracy per Hebraism and Hellenism are reserved for Ch 6.

In the religious-sphere parallel: after monarchic Christianity was shattered by the 1517 Reformation, democratic Christianity took over — dismantling the papal-monopoly spiritual kingdom. After the Reformation, people sought God through their own Bible-reading without priestly mediation; democratic Christianity creates the environment allowing all to seek Christ freely at his return.

Significance. Recasts Anglo-American-French democratic-revolution history as providential infrastructure for the Second Advent — a strongly anti-monarchic political theology grounded in failed-monarchy providence. The “two types of democracy” (Hebraic vs Hellenic) anticipated for Ch 6 are DP’s mechanism for distinguishing successful (Anglo-American Hebraic) from failed (French Hellenic) democratic trajectories.
