Claim. God’s providence develops a chosen-people society through three escalating political-economic stages — clan society → feudalistic society → monarchic society — each stage consolidating more territory and population under godly sovereignty so the final monarchic stage can support the Messiah as King of Kings; this same three-stage developmental sequence is recapitulated in the Christian-era providence from Christian clan, through European feudalism, to the Carolingian Christian empire.
Elaboration. Per Part 2 Ch 5 §7.1 + §7.2.3–5: even in primitive societies under satanic sovereignty, the original-mind / providence interaction generated good/evil divisions, out of which clan societies arose. The providential purpose of clan→feudal→monarchic development is to bring property and people previously belonging to Satan back to God’s side, expanding territory under God’s sovereignty so a kingdom large enough for the Messiah can be built.
OT-age realization: God called Abraham as standard-bearer of goodness. His descendants formed the first Israelite clan society, entered Egypt as a clan, grew into a tribal society by the Exodus, and constituted a feudalistic society in the judges-period — master-servant relationships and self-sufficient territorial units, with judges ruling tribal territories like early-medieval bishops and feudal lords. This developed into monarchic society with Saul’s united kingdom, designed to prepare sovereignty sufficient for Jesus as King of Kings.
NT-age realization: with the crucifixion the Jewish nation fell to Satan’s side; God broke up that society and called devout believers to form a Christian clan society (Jesus’s twelve disciples + seventy followers paralleling Jacob’s twelve sons + seventy kinsmen). This developed into Christian tribal society in Rome and, after Rome’s fall, feudalistic Christian society among the Germanic peoples — with patriarchs/archbishops/bishops in major/medium/minor feudal-lord positions. Charlemagne’s Carolingian Christian monarchic society consolidated the feudal foundations.
Satan, understanding this pattern, preemptively built clan, feudal, and monarchic societies (Egyptian dynasties, Babylonian and Hittite empires) centuries before the corresponding Israelite stages, occupying each developmental slot first.
Significance. Identifies the providential-developmental sequence as a constant law operating in both ages, not an OT-particular contingency. The clan/feudal/monarchic ladder is DP’s structural explanation for why the central-figure providence requires escalating territorial and sovereignty containers — and provides the conceptual frame for the Ch 5 §§1–6 paired-period walks.
