Claim. Korea is the geographical-providential culmination point of three convergent civilization-cycles — the continental→peninsular→island→continental→island land-form cycle, the river→Mediterranean→Atlantic→Pacific sea-tier cycle, and the tropical→cool-zone→frigid-zone climate cycle returning to the original temperate-zone of Eden — making Korea the unique location where all civilizations developed across providential history will be restored horizontally under the leadership of Christ at the Second Advent.
Elaboration. Per 3.3.5. The Culmination of All Civilizations: spiritual and material civilization (the quests to overcome the two aspects of human ignorance, religion and science) must harmonize to resolve the fundamental problems of human life. In the world Christ realizes, “all civilizations which have developed through the vertical course of providential history will be restored horizontally under the leadership of the Lord” — embraced and harmonized in Korea by the new truth.
Cycle 1 — land-form. Continental civilizations of Egypt and Mesopotamia → peninsular Greece/Rome/Iberia → island Britain → continental United States → island Japan → “now these fruits are to be harvested in the peninsular civilization of Korea, where Christ is to be born.” The cycle closes on a peninsula — Korea.
Cycle 2 — sea-tier. River civilizations on Nile/Tigris/Euphrates → Mediterranean (Greece, Rome, Spain, Portugal) → Atlantic (Britain, US) → Pacific civilization “which links together the United States, Japan and Korea.” Korea is the Pacific-tier fruiting point.
Cycle 3 — climate-zone seasonal. Spring/summer/autumn/winter applies year-by-year, day-by-day, to the four phases of life, and to history itself — “an aspect of God’s Principle underlying His creation is the harmonious, seasonal circle of life.” History was supposed to begin from a temperate-zone Eden, move in summer to tropical, in autumn to cool-zone, and culminate in winter in a frigid-zone civilization. Due to the Fall, humans were degraded and began prematurely in tropical Africa (Egypt). This passed culture to peninsular and island cool-zone civilizations, then to the frigid-zone Soviet Union. “Now this current is to culminate in the formation of the temperate-zone civilization of the new Eden. This should certainly take place in Korea, where all civilizations are to bear fruit.”
Korea is the geographical convergence point of three independent providential cycles, each independently converging on the Korean peninsula.
