Claim. Original sin is transmitted only through blood lineage. Because lineal transmission requires a sexual act binding parents in blood-ties, the fall itself must have been a sexual act. This is the keystone reasoning that necessitates DP’s sexual-fall reading.
Elaboration. Per 1.1. The Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil: “The only way something can be inherited is by being passed down through the lineage. The temporary ill effects of eating something cannot be perpetuated through the long descent of lineage.” If original sin perpetuates across generations, then its originating cause must be of the same type as its vector — namely, a blood-binding sexual act, not the ingestion of a literal fruit.
Per 1.5. The Root of Sin: the converging evidence is fivefold —
- Original sin’s lineal-descent vector (above).
- Religions that emphasize purging sin treat fornication as a cardinal sin.
- The Israelite rite of circumcision: “they qualified themselves as God’s chosen people by draining blood, because the root of sin lies in having taken in through an unchaste act the evil blood which permeates our being.”
- Sexual promiscuity remains the most resistant evil even after moral, educational, and socio-economic reforms.
- Sexual immorality is constantly active “even in the most outstanding people.”
Christ at his Second Advent “must be able to solve this problem once and for all” — the restoration of lineage is the providence’s final task.
