Claim. The “spiritual fall” was an illicit sexual relationship between Eve and the archangel Lucifer on the spiritual plane, generated when their give-and-take action under deviant love overpowered the principle-of-creation. This was the first of two falls.
Elaboration. Per 1.3.1. The Crime of the Angel, the angel’s crime is inferred from Jude 6-7: “the angels that did not keep their own position but left their proper dwelling have been kept by him in eternal chains… just as Sodom and Gomorrah… which likewise acted immorally and indulged in unnatural lust.” DP reads this as: the angel fell through an illicit sexual relationship — and “fornication is a crime which cannot be committed alone.”
Per 2.2.1. The Spiritual Fall, the partner was Eve: “Lucifer, who left his proper position due to his excessive desire, and Eve, who wanted to open her eyes and become like God before the time was ripe, formed a common base and began give and take action. The power of the unprincipled love generated by their give and take led them to consummate an illicit sexual relationship on the spiritual plane.”
DP defends spirit-flesh sexual possibility from biblical evidence: angels wrestling with Jacob, eating with Abraham, and the Sodomites’ lust for the visiting angels in Lot’s house.
