Claim. The Family Pledge is not a public recitation but a privilege of those who have already achieved mind-body unity, husband-wife unity, and parent-child unity through true love — fallen-lineage families are structurally disqualified from reciting it.
Elaboration. “The families who recite the Family Pledge should achieve mind and body unity. In principle, you could not recite it unless you are united in mind and body” (5.1. Those who can recite the Family Pledge, 261-143, 1994.6.9). The disqualification is explicit: “People who have inherited the false love and false life through the false parents of the satanic world are not qualified to recite it” (ibid, 264-213, 1994.11.3). The pledge’s opening phrase “Our family … centering on true love” is itself the gating condition — only families “that have returned to the originally intended world, become one with God and the True Parents” can speak it without lying. The implication: in the completed-testament-age, liturgical speech is performative-conditional; the Pledge is a covenantal claim that the speaker must have already qualified to make.
