Claim. Both democracy (humanism) and communism (materialism) have driven God out of governance, so the unified Pacific civilization requires a third option — Godism, also called head-wing or Adam-centered ideology — that supersedes the post-Cold-War East-West confrontation entirely.
Elaboration. SMM names the alternative directly: “A unified world is bound to appear in the era of the Pacific civilization. That is why everything must be overhauled. Democracy in America does not work, and neither does communism. That is why the head-wing ideology, known as Godism, must appear in this age” (1.1. Why is the Pacific era coming?, 207-46, 1990.10.28). The displacement is comprehensive: “Communism must collapse. The democratic world should also collapse. The democratic world is based on humanism, whereas the communist world is based on materialism. Both have driven God away” (via §2.1, 188-315, 1989.3.1). And the proper subject is Adam-centered cosmology: “It is not communism or democracy but Adam-centered ideology. This ideology is the course that leads us to Godism. An ideology is like a walking stick that aids us to pursue a certain purpose” (21-156, 1968.11.17). Godism is the destination; democracy and communism are exhausted scaffolding.
